The Hair Movement Reopens after Riots

The Hair Movement in Watercrest Mall, KZN, was affected by the recent riots, and owner Crystal van Niekerk and her team found themselves having to regroup and rebuild from scratch.

Thanks to the generous donations made by many people in the industry, this fabulous salon opened its doors again to clients on Friday 30 July.

On the SA Hairdressers in Lockdown 2021 group, Crystal wrote:

We are back and excited to see all our clients again.

We just want to give a shout out to everyone that made this possible, it wouldn't have been possible without you..... God Bless

For those who are still looking to help out, a salon in Soweto was very badly affected in the riots and is desperately seeking styling chairs so that they can recommence business. If you are in the Gauteng area and have a spare chair, please email info@hairnews.co.za and we will put you in touch with the owner.
