SICK PAY FUND: RULE CHANGES AND REVISED APPEAL FORM
In our July Chronicle, we provided a summary of the collective agreement entered into between the parties to the National Bargaining Council for Hairdressing, Cosmetology, Beauty and Skincare Industry, EOHCB and UASA.
The agreement included an amendment to the Sick Pay Fund to allow for an Employer to approve the first (one day’s) absence without the requirement for an Employee to provide a medical certificate in respect of a sick leave claim. (A medical certificate is still required for two or more days of sick leave).
