Winners of each category in the Hairnews Awards will receive unique, customised, handmade trophies to display in their salon.
Hairnews asked the famous Ignatius Chinyani, who is a renowned local artist and sculptor living in Johannesburg, to create these trophies. The brief was a metalwork interpretation of a hairdressing scissor – rugged, bold and eyecatching! We want these trophies to be a talking point in the salon or company who wins them, that represent a unique piece of art and also, very importantly, support our local creative talent. After all, that’s what the Hairnews Awards is all about.

Remember that the voting category winners will be announced at 6 pm on Sunday 15th March on Hairnews Facebook and Instagram.
