Hairnews reader Ericka de la Rey recently wrote to Hairnews to remind all salons to check references of any staff they hire. Even though there is a shortage of good staff in the industry, it is always important to find out if the prospective staff member that you are about to hire, has any track record of behaving unethically with a previous employer or any other problems. It takes only a moment to phone and ask, and it can make all the difference between hiring somebody good, or taking on the wrong person for your salon.
