Trendsetting Inspiration – Iconic Stage Shows – Next-level hair fashion – Breathtaking excitement!
The Twincare HSOTY is a legendary career-builder, that gives ambitious stylists the chance to become big names, and big names the chance to become industry champions and award winners!
Competitors must choose their category, register their entry, submit a portfolio, and put together a stage show for the finals. Portfolios and stage shows will be judged and contribute to the final result.
Categories include:
Hairstylist of the Year – creative interpretation of current trends, marked on design, texture, cut, colour and condition. Avoid extreme avant garde looks.
The Team – creative interpretation of current trends, marked on design, texture, cut, colour and condition. Avoid extreme avant garde looks.
Avant Garde – Showcasing the hairdresser’s artistic creativity, judged on an avant-garde interpretation of current fashion
The Boys – Showcasing current men’s trends, judged on design, texture, cut, colour and condition.
Apprentice of the Year – will be run at a separate event on 1 September at the Twincare Business Awards dinner at Professional Beauty, Gallagher Estate. Entrants for this section need to complete a separate entry form.

Closing date for entries: Friday 29 August 2019
Portfolio submission deadline: Friday 27 September 2019
Finals: At The Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City, Jhb, on the evening of Sunday 1 December 2019
