Government (NCCC) consulted the EOHCB on the morning of 29 May 2020 and a follow up meeting was scheduled for the same afternoon.

The EOHCB is confident that through continuous meaningful consultation with the NCCC, that the industry will obtain a satisfactory result in its quest for an expedited re-opening.

Health, Hygiene and Safety protocols have always been present within the industry and its operations, and we presented the NCCC with a visual and documented experience to how the industry could and should operate during the COVID-19 pandemic and that it would be safe to do so by regulating the basic COVID-19 Industry requirements for opening and servicing of the public.
