Intercoiffure South Africa has honoured the iconic Johan Nortje as he has been instrumental in growing Intercoiffure South Africa.
Johan has been an Intercoiffure Mondial member since 1986, during which time he served as Fashion Director, the Oceania Fashion Director since the inception of the regions. He has built the careers of many aspiring hairstylists during his time in the industry.
Johan has served under past Intercoiffure presidents such as Barry Morris, Richard Weiss, Frikkie De Jager, Jean Witte, Ezra Isaacs and our current President Anel Cloete.
Johan has always selflessly shared his passion for fashion and success in his business.
He started the Oceania region together with June Wilde from Perth who is currently part of the central committee in Paris. He worked tirelessly and travelled to Paris extensively to grow our region. He graciously recommends his clients to Intercoiffure friends and members while they travel. We acknowledge and give thanks for his unselfish dedication, humility, creativity, commitment and efficiency.
His incredible photo shoots and makeovers are a legend in the industry and while he is best known for this, Johan has also contributed towards numerous charitable initiatives. He has raised money for the Children of Fire project, worked at the charity golf events together with L’Oreal Professionnel, and donated towards the Hair Mats to save the environment.
A decision was made to honour Johan with honorary Intercoiffure membership for his outstanding contribution towards ICD and total commitment and support.
Johan remains a great inspiration and mentor to all and will always have Intercoiffure at heart. Johan Nortje has always been a phone call away to advise and assist on any matter. Thank you, Johan, and congratulations on this well deserved accolade.
