We are thrilled to announce the shortlists in all judging categories for the Hairnews Awards. Congratulations to all longlisted competitors – it was a huge challenge to narrow the field down and we are grateful to our expert judges for their knowledgeable input and comments.
Below are the shortlists for each category together with the judges who assessed each category.
This week, we will be publishing in depth profiles on our judges as the excitement builds to the announcement of the winners.
When will the winners be announced?
The announcement of the winners will be made on Sunday 15 March for the voting categories (Industry Personality and Product Awards) and on Sunday 22 March for the judged categories (Creative Awards, Salon Interior and Social Media).
Live Video Announcements - Watch and Enjoy from Home!
Announcements will be made in a live video on the Hairnews social media pages at 6 pm on the Sunday, and will be published on the following Monday (16th and 23rd March) in Hairnews.

Operator Awards
We were blown away by the incredible testimonials and the love and gratitude that was shown by salons when nominating their invaluable operators for this award.
As a result, Hairnews will be giving every longlisted operator in both categories a Certificate of Excellence as well as a prize. The winner of the Long Service Award in years, will also receive a trophy. During the next weeks, we will be publishing the testimonials written by salons as they are a heartfelt account of the role that operators play in our business, and how salons treasure a great operator. We were humbled and touched to read about the value that these salon angels add!
Representatives from the EOHCB are writing a testimonial on the importance of salon operators. We will proudly publish this together with a mini interview for the finals of this category.
