Almost 3,000 hairstylists from around the globe, including our SA superstars, Color Zoom national winners Yvonne Bryson and Bernadine Malan, arrived in Vienna, Austria, for the Global Zoom Event on 29-30 September 2019.
This event included incredible shows, inspiring artist sessions, the launch of Goldwell’s Couture Collection 2020 themed “Intrepid”, and of course, the Global Zoom competition.
It was a proud moment for South Africa to have Salome de Wet, a previous Color Zoom winner, as part of the Goldwell Elumenators team who presented the newly relaunched Elumen and Elumen Play. They showcased the future of creativity in colour to guests.
A trend-driven presentation featured Goldwell’s top international artists giving insights about the new colour and style fashion directions, and the KMS Style Color Presentation wowed the audience with the latest urban fashion looks for KMS. The Goldwell Master Stylist team presented new, exciting and creative shapes and colour concepts to guests.
The Color Zoom Challenge was a breathtaking showcase of colour and talent from all over the globe, featuring 91 national finalists from 38 different countries.

The gala show launched the Goldwell Couture Collection for 2020 – a unique, bold and daring collection called Intrepid.
Monday saw three inspiring artist sessions held, featuring Global Brand Ambassador Mario Krankl, the award winning salon collective Hare & Bone, and groundbreaking educational artists M&P.
Congratulations to everyone who participated in the competition finals and enjoyed the experience of a lifetime in Vienna. A special congrats to Yvonne Bryson and Bernadine Malan for flying the SA flag high on stage in the finals, and to Salome de Wet whose talent contributed to an incredible Elumenator show.
