South Africa’s Finalists for the Goldwell Color Zoom Challenge

The South African top 10 finalists for the 2019 Goldwell Color Zoom Challenge have been announced. Congratulations to the five finalists in each category whose work will now be sent to Germany for the next round of international judging.

In alphabetical order, the finalists are as follows:

Global Creative Colorist

Global New Talent Colorist

The work for the 2019 competition was inspired by the fabulous Remix theme. Competitors created edgy styles, strong colour, bold contrasts, and bright, fun, playful looks.

The competition was very well supported, and hairdressing and the photography were of an exceptionally high standard. The judges – Craig Hopkins from Goldwell SA, Ryan Spruijt from Funki Hair, and Jassy Mackenzie from Hairnews, were wowed by the imagination, creativity and flair shown in all the entries.

The international judging results will be announced in July. The gold, silver and bronze medallists in each category will then be named – with the gold medallists travelling to Vienna to represent South Africa on stage in the Global Zoom finals in September this year.

Congratulations to the finalists!
