Colour Recipe: Dark to Bronde

Shafia Cassiem Haffejee, from David Shannon Hairdressing, transformed her client from dark, to a gloriously fashionable and flattering, multi-faceted bronde. Here is her colour recipe.

My formula was L'Oréal Professionnel Effisor +30vol, toner multiple sections with 9.01+ 9.02 Richesse with 15%, doing highlights and working with her natural tone in between. I also used Smart Bond from L’Oréal Professionnel to ensure no breakage.

When i do highlights, I prefer using the natural heat from the client. I allowed it to lift at least 35 mins, continuously checking the highlights lifting to a pale yellow. Toner timing was about 10 mins, also using a technique when applying. This is similar to a balayage but allowed extra foils due to her overall darkness.
