About The Barberhood
The Barberhood began out of the desire to contribute to its community and boost skills development. This has been done through information workshops on male grooming, to motivate barbers and upcoming barbers on the opportunities and possibilities this career brings.
According to Lesley-Ann Bezuidenhout, “With many communities facing grave social ills, we have identified the need for mentorship, positive encounters, creating hope and most of all the realisation that whatever their minds can conceive, it can also be achieved. These workshops will highlight the importance of getting formal training and will also assist existing barber shops on how to grow and develop their businesses, utilise available opportunities, and make more informed decisions.”
